January is probably the worst month in the calendar. It’s cold, everyone’s skint from buying people presents they didn’t even really want for Christmas and we are all back to work, which is always much harder to deal with when you’ve had all that time off around the festive period.
I’m self-employed so holidays, bank or otherwise, mean very little to me. In case you haven’t realised by now, I am a “sex worker” which in its most basic form means I am naked all over the internet and make my living by filming sexy content of myself or webcamming with horny guys. I’ve had a few questions from readers and followers alike about what its like being in the industry and tentative queries into how one would get themselves involved in such a career and so I thought I provide some pointers for those who are looking for potential new ways to make some money this year.
There are lots of different ways to make money within the sex industry, from stripping right up to escorting, but for ease of reading I will be looking into the four main categories through which I make my money and the ones I feel most comfortable advising others on. So, here we go…!
Webcamming
Webcamming is a very easy option as you don’t even need to leave your house in order to do it. Hell, sometimes you don’t even need to leave your BED in order to do it! So long as you have both a working laptop and a WiFi connection, you are good to go.
There are a plethora of different webcamming sites online; I have been camming for around eight years now and have always used Adultwork as I find it the easiest to use. They also offer a range of different payment options for all around the world so you can use the site in any country you are based in. The site is relatively easy to use but basically, you set yourself up with a camming profile, set your price per minute and wait for your calls to come in. Your webcam is only live and able to view to somebody when you have accepted their call, which I have always preferred as I hate the idea of people getting to watch me for free!
If you’ve never webcammed before it can feel daunting at first and take you a while to get into the groove of things but once you find your patter, its so easy! There is an option to either type to your viewer or you can put your microphone on and talk to them, whatever is best for you. You also can’t see them, unless you request to view their webcam. My advice if you are camming is to set your “levels” – which is what you are comfortable doing, be it just stripping nude, online domination with no nudity, using sex toys on yourself etc – and stick to them. Some viewers may ask you to do more than you are willing to but don’t feel you have to just because they are paying you. There will always be other customers.
If you don’t want to be seen, Adultwork also offers an option for phonechat too. You can read about my own enjoyment of phonechat in a previous post. Let me know what you think!
Clip Sites & OnlyFans
Selling your own videos online is probably one of the most lucrative ways to make money, especially if there isn’t already a wealth of content of you online, like there is of me, and you have a social media following. I use OnlyFans and I love how easy it is to upload pictures and videos and to respond to my followers on there. You can choose how often you upload and are in full control of what you put on your OnlyFans, with only members that are paying for access to your site being able to see what you post. I am a big advocate for this site as I genuinely do find it the best online content site I’ve personally ever used!
I also use to use sites such as Clips4Sale and ManyVids which have huge volumes of traffic visiting them every day, which can result in excellent sales.
Shooting your own content is as simple as setting up your camera and filming yourself – even phone cameras are so good these days that you can even just use that! If using your phone I would advise using it in landscape mode to get a fuller screen video. Do your research – go on these sites and see which studios and niches are selling the most, ask your followers want they want to see. NEVER copy other peoples videos but often seeing what others are doing can be a good way to get your own creative juices flowing. Also, a lot of the top selling fetish videos don’t even include any nudity at all! There is always the chance that someone buying your videos can put them on porn tube sites – even if you aren’t nude you may still end up on porn tube sites, so keep that in mind, and I would definitely recommend watermarking your videos where possible.
Porn
I am now “retired” from the porn game – although I do still make my own content for my OnlyFans – but there are definitely reputable companies in the UK that I would definitely recommend. If you’re looking to get into porn then I would again recommend doing your research and contacting reputable porn companies via social media or, if you can find an e-mail address for them even better. Don’t ask pornstars that you follow on social media how you can get into porn – we hate it when you do that – ask companies, not us! You will be required to have full sexual health certificates proving that you are free of all sexually transmitted infections before you will be allowed to perform, but any company you work with will talk you through all that and advise you on the best places to get tested.
If you are interested in getting into porn please do think very carefully before doing so. It can be a lot of fun but you have to remember that once content is out there, it’s out there forever.
And in a nutsack – or shell, Freudian slip there – that’s about it when it comes to the basics of online sex work. There are lots of other ways to make money online or have people financially support your work such as Patreon or selling your Snapchat name. Both of these can be very lucrative sources of income but as I’ve never used either myself I don’t want to attempt to advise on areas that I know nothing about! Some women webcam or sell videos online as a second stream of income, which if you do choose to do you need to make sure you are still registered as self employed and declaring your earnings. Please do NOT take my word for Gospel, I am only giving you my own input and advice. Also read sign up terms and conditions on every site you join up to and ALWAYS DO YOUR RESEARCH before you get into the sex industry because anything you put online will always be there and always remember, if you’re not having fun then don’t bother!

I find it very good how open and honest you handle your work. Also that you give assistance to people who are interested in a job in the porn or sex industry.
I think that’s very remarkable.
I have not found anything comparable like your blog anywhere.
You have my absolute respect.
Something would interest me but still.
Is it possible to live a carefree life the way you do now?
Thank you so so much! 😀
